Marcelo Bendahan is a colourfully creative photographer from Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
He was born in Spain in 1970. He studied and graduated in Communication and Photography in Madrid and moved in 1994 to London to continue his studies of Photo Journalism in the University of Westminster, he also took a year course of Book Publishing at the London College of Printing.
In 2000 he settled in Amsterdam to work as a professional photographer and book publisher. He currently lives there with his Dutch wife and children.
His photography covers a wide range of subjects such as fine art, still life, black and white, live concerts and performing arts, traditional ceremonies, people at work, and international travel .
He has published five large size beautiful books of photography “Amsterdam Always” , “Jerusalem Always”, “Carnivals of the World”, “Melilla Viva” and Guide of Modernism in Melilla”.
Marcelo is working now on Still Life and nature photography. His photographs and compositions are subtle, delicate and very intimate. He takes especial delight in emphasizing details and shapes that most times go unnoticed. His style is very realistic and frontal. His floral images have a romantic flair that transcend time and all senses.
Marcelo takes good care of all the editing and printing of his photographs, using the finest available handmade bamboo art papers and cotton papers. The final result is a work of harmony, beauty and elegance in which his flowers and still life images are presented.
